JC and Alchemist Differences

Ideas and Content:

I did better and better with every essay I wrote this year. I demonstrated my ides and content by sharing it without people always falling of track because it isn’t well organized. Brutus is struggling to find out for himself whether or not he should kill his friend Caesar just so that Rome could live free, but the he decides that he loves Rome more than Caesar and he should fight for Rome. “Caesar, this is my answer: Not that I love Caesar less, but that I love Rome more” that is what Brutus tells himself so that he know that he has to keep fighting for Rome’s freedom. Brutus is an honorable man that is willing to slay and destroy Caesars future of becoming the ruler of Rome. He is also willing to kill himself just so that Rome can live free and with a republic. What keeps Brutus fitting for his goal is his love and honor for Rome and its people. I could have improved on my explaining of my ideas and content by being more specific and making it more obvious that I am sharing it with you.

Organization:

In the end of my introductory I do a lot better on keeping on task than with the alchemist essay. I had good organization some of the time but I didn’t keep it constant because some time I would put the wrong topic into the wrong sentences or I would mix up some sentences. For example I could have improved my organization by a huge amount because in the first essay everything was out of place and now mostly everything fits. For example Brutus is struggling to find out for himself whether or not he should kill his friend Caesar just so that Rome could live free, but the he decides that he loves Rome more than Caesar and he should fight for Rome. This is the same as my first example to show how much i have improved from the Alchemist essay.

Personal Growth:

I have seen a different from the alchemist essay and the Julius Caesar essay. I think that the JC essay was just better overall because I improved on my organization specifically with were the right sentences go and how to make the sentences make sense. I also improved on getting better ideas about the topic and making it so that you can understand the topic and its content.

SLR Reflection:

My personal growth wasn't that extravagant but I feel I used the SLR think creatively and Learn enthusiastically and this is because I studied and prepared before all the essays must have been written. Also i though that I thought creatively by picking emotions and descriptions that fits Brutus.

JC essay

Brutus

Brutus’s love for Rome changed how he saw his world by realizing that is Caesar became ruler of Rome then he could use his miss use his power and look down on the people of Rome. Not only that but Brutus’s ancestors have fought for many generation before his time to keep Rome a republic and get rid of any people who could become a tyrant. His love is proved when he says “Caesar, this is my answer: Not that I love Caesar less, but that I love Rome more” saying that he loves Caesar but he loves his home and its people more. “Had you rather Caesar were living, and die all slaves, than that Caesar were dead, to live all free men?” in this quote Brutus is saying that is Caesar becomes king then we would all have to die slaves, and is he doesn’t become king then the people of Rome would live free just like in a republic. This is to show the level of love that he shows for Rome by saying things that Caesar could do but might not do just so that people would listen to him and fall on his side instead of cheering Caesar on.

Brutus’s honor is one of his better attributes because that is why Caesar considers him as a friends and why the people look up to him. He is the most honorable noble’s in Rome at that time and he uses it to get rid of Caesar before he rules Rome and if that happens Brutus will have no say. Brutus says “set honor in one eye, and death I’ th’ other, and I will look on both indifferently; for let the gods so speed me as I love the name of honor more than I fear death.” When he says this it means that he has more love for honor that his fear of death. Pg. 78 lines 224-228 where he says look fresh as you would be on a new day and be happy just as you should be on a new day.

His love and honor where the main and most important of his motivators because that is what he always had with him, because he was one of the most honorable nobles. His love helped him because he was always trying to keep Rome from falling apart. And he was killed because he allowed Antony to change the peoples minds by saying that Caesar’s death was a dish meant for dogs even if Brutus and the conspirators where striving for a dish fit for the gods.

Collage Description

My poster and 6 word memoir showed all of the SLR's in it because.
Think Creatively:
It showed how i thought creatively for example when I put the 6 word memoir from left to right just like the pictures witch is like a book or a comic book.
Reason Critically:
I used the images and the words to show how the lost boys were attacked, they had a hard time escaping and traveling because people dies of starvation and thirst, and then when they got to the camp they found peace.
Communicate Effectively:
People become aware of the lost boys situation because of my pictures, mostly because it has some scary picture that attract people attention and then all the hard times they have been through.
Live Ethically:
My poster does not show much empathy other than that they have traveled and been through a lot. I felt sad when i saw most of the pictures because kids are there with guns, people are starving to death, and how many of the people had to walk through the vast desert.

Peter Life and Struggles in America

At first peter was very excited to move to America because he had a vision were it was heaven and not knowing the difficulty’s that he would be facing. Peter was disappointed that he had to leave some of his friends and family behind in the refugee camp in Kenya. When he was on the plane on his way to Huston Texas, he was terrified because he was so high in the sky he was also confused about the food they received on the plane because they didn’t know how to eat it, they didn’t know what it was. For example when one of the lost boys opened the butter and he just liked it off because he didn’t know what it was and how to eat it. When they arrived they were all exhilarated because they were driving in a car that they have not or might not have ever been in before. When they got to their apartment they were told how to use the house hold appliances like the stove. The Lost Boys were told that they would have their rent paid for them for 4 months and also some extra spending money. Peter couldn’t find a job while others were working in factories and supermarkets as trolley pushers. Since Peter could not find a job so he decided to move to Kansas and there he went to finish high school so that he could get a decent job. He did this because he wanted to provide for his friends and family in Kenya that were struggling. He struggled with time management where he had to play basketball in the early morning, then go to school, and then go home to do homework that takes him along time. He also struggled with sending money to his people in Kenya that he wanted to help and take care of. He gained friends fairly easily but people saw him a gangster and a robber because of his skin color, and because of how he dressed. That’s how Peter was treated with inequality and stereotypes. Peter dealt with these problems but changing how he dressed just so that he could fit in. left his friends behind so that he could get a job and go to school. He made friends by going to a Christian retreat because he wants to stay connected to his culture and religion just as he makes friends.

Solo/Duet Acting

287
Cassius: So is he now in execution of any bold or noble enterprise, however he puts on this tardy form. This rudeness is a sauce to his good wit, which gives men stomach to digest his words with better appetite.

Brutus:And so it is. For this time I will leave you. Tomorrow, if you please to speak with me, I will come home to you; or if you will, come home to me,and I wil
this isn't everything
will wait for you.

Cassius:i will do so: till then, think of the world

[Exit Brutus]

Well, Brutus, thou art noble; yet I see thy honourable mettle may be wrought from that it is dispos'd: therefore 'tis meet that noble minds keep ever with their likes; for who so firm that cannot be seduc'd? Ceasar doth bear me hard; but he loves Brutus. If I were Brutus now, and he were cassius, he should not
humour me. I will this night, in several hands, in at his windows throw, as if they came from several citizens, writings, all tending to the great opinion that Rome holds of his name; wherein obscurely Ceasar's ambition shall be glanced at. And after this, let Ceasar seat him sure, for we will shake him, or worse days endure.

Who Would I Be

Art can be a mirror of society because people reflect there culture maybe religion, and ethnicity. It also reflects the persons feelings and there thoughts. In the painting by Raphael I would be on the right side were the people would be more down to earth and doing math. On the left side side were the people are working with science and are a little bit more imaginative. So that is why i would not be on the left side.
